KISS 그룹 장용진 회장, 제8회 ‘장보고 한상 어워드’ 대상 수상
KISS그룹 장용진 회장이 장보고 글로벌 재단(이사장 김덕룡)이 수여하는 제8회 장보고 한상 어워드(2023) 수상자로 대상(장보고 헌정자)을 받았다. ‘장보고 한상어워드’ 는 대한민국 경제 및 문화를 해외에 확장하는 데 공로가 지대한 재외 동포 경제인 가운데 거주국 한인사회 발전에 기여하고 한민족 정체성 함양에 앞장선 동포 사업가를 21세기 장보고로 인증하는 가장 명예로운 상으로 알려져 있다. 장 회장은 1989년 미국 뉴욕주 플러싱에서 Kiss사를 창업한 이후 34년 만에 종업원 1만2천명, 연매출액 10억 달러를 넘는 액수를 달성하는 세계적인 뷰티 그룹으로 성장시켰다.

KISS Group Chairman Jang Yong-jin received the grand prize (Jang Bo-go Constructor) as the winner of the 8th Jang Bo-go Han Award (2023) awarded by the Jang Bo-go Global Foundation (Chairman Kim Deok-ryong). The Jang Bogo Hansang Award is known as the most honorable award to certify Korean businessmen who contributed to the development of the Korean community in their country of residence and took the lead in promoting Korean national identity as Jang Bogo in the 21st century. NFBS, 식품협 KAGRO로와 업무협약, 우호협력 통한 미래 발전 노력키로
미주 뷰티서플라이 총연합회(NFBS)는 지난 9월 18일 라스베가스 ARIA RESORT&CASINO HOTEL에서 국제한인 식품주류상 총연합회(KAGRO)와 업무협약 (MOU) 체결 했다. KAGRO 와 NFBS 의 우호적인 협력을 통해 NFBS 회원들의 미래 지향적 사업 발전에 기여하기 위한 목적이다. 또한 NFBS 회원들은 KAGRO 의 도움이 필요시 충분한 마케팅 협조와 신속한 서비스 제공을 KAGRO 로부터 받을 수 있다. 동 협약은 체결일로부터 3 년간 유효하다.
NFBS Made MOU with KAGRO, for Mutual Cooperation and Development
The National Federation of Beauty Supplies (NFBS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the International Federation of Korean Food Liquor Traders (KAGRO) at ARIA RESORT & CASINO HOTEL in Las Vegas on September 18. It aims to contribute to the future-oriented business development of NFBS members through friendly cooperation between KAGRO and NFBS. In addition, NFBS members can receive sufficient marketing cooperation and prompt service delivery from KAGRO if they need KAGRO’s help. This MOU is valid for three years from the date of conclusion.
뉴저지협, 제3회 추계야유회 성황리 가져 5명의 학생에 각 $1,000씩 장학금도 수여
뉴저지한인뷰티서플라이협회(NJKBSA 회장 이경우)는 지난 10월 8일(일요일) 제3회 추계 야유회 및 장학금 증정식 행사를 뉴저지 알랜타운에 위치한 ‘늘푸른 농장’ 에서 성황리에 개최했다. 이경우 회장은 장학금 수여식에서 “우리는 우리 지역사회의 젊은이들이 세상에 나아가, 모두에게 더 안전하고 좋은 곳을 만들어 줄 미래를 믿는다” 면서 “이 장학금은 고등교육을 추구하고 자신의 열정을 이용하여 자신의 지역사회에 변화와 개선을 만들어 내는 모든 젊은이들을 위한 것” 이라고 덧붙였다. 장학금 선정 기준은 “뉴저지 주에 거주하는 16세부터 26세까지의 모든 학생들 가운데 자신의 미래를 향상시키고 지역사회에 영향을 미치는데 열정을 가지고 있는 학생들” 로 했으며, 5명에게 각 $1,000씩 수여 되었다. 명단은 다음과 같다. New Jersey B/S Association Held 3rd Autumn Picnic & Five Students To be Awarded a $1,000 scholarship Each
The New Jersey Korean Beauty Supply Association (NJKBSA President Lee Kyung-woo) held the 3rd Autumn Picnic and Scholarship Presentation Ceremony on October 8 (Sunday) at the “Never Blue Farm” in Allantown, New Jersey. Lee Kyung-woo, President, said at the scholarship ceremony, “we believe in the future of our young minds in our communities to move the world forward and create a safer and better place for all. This scholarship is for all young people pursuing higher education and using their passion to create changes and improvements in their communities.” The scholarship selection criteria was “among all students from the ages of 16 to 26 in New Jersey who are passionate about improving their futures and influencing their communities.” Five students were awarded $1,000 each. The list is as follows; Adriana Sanchez, Janine Cox, Oluwasegun David Odunuga, Sutania Sammott, Sophia Collado.

GABSA, 장학금모금 대회 114명 참가 성료
조지아 애틀랜타 뷰티 협회(GABSA)는 지난 달 10월 22일 Chateau Elan Golf Club (Woodlands Course)에서 B/S업계 종사자를 비롯하여 아틀란타한인커뮤니티 단체장, 협회장 및 일반인들 총 114명이 참석한 가운데 장학기금 마련 골프 대회를 성황리에 가졌다. 수익금 및 후원금은 연말 송년회 때 DeKalb County 경찰 자녀 등 15명의 학생에게 장학금으로 전달할 계획이다.
GABSA completes 114 participants in scholarship fundraising competition
The Georgia Atlanta Beauty Association (GABSA) held a scholarship fundraising golf competition at the Chateau Elan Golf Club (Woodlands Course) on October 22 last month, with a total of 114 people attending, including B/S industry businessmen, heads of organizations and associations in Atlanta Korean community. Earnings & donations will be delivered as scholarships to 15 students, including children of DeKalb County police, at the end of the year party.
