제16회 <조지아 뷰티 트레이드 쇼> 행사가 조지아 애틀랜타 뷰티협회(회장 이강하) 주최로 오는 3월 10일 (일요일 9:00am-6:00pm) 아틀타란타 소재 Georgia International Convention Center에서 개최 된다.
이번 쇼는 3월 9일(토요일) 7080 콘서트 전야제로 시작된다. <편지>의 어니언스 임창제, <바보처럼 살았군요>의 가수 김도향, <잊게 해주오>의 가수 장계현, <내 가슴에 비가 내리면>의 가수 지은숙 등 7080 시절부터 인기 있었던 가수들과 함께 행사 전날 전야제 (콘서트)가 애틀랜타 한인회관에서 7시에 열린다. 주최측은 “콘서트를 통해서 고국에 대한 그리움을 달래고, 향수를 불러 일으키는 노래들을 즐기면서 이전의 추억들을 다시 한번 떠올릴 수 있는 기회가 될 것”이라고 한다. 더불어, 콘서트로 끝나는 것이 아니라, 쇼당일 포토부스 및 팬 사인회가 열릴 예정이다.
3월10일(일요일)은 메인 쇼 행사날이다. 매년 봄 연례 행사로 주최해 왔던 동 쇼는 주요 헤어업체들을 비롯한 각 분야별 업계 도매업체들이 헤어 및 코스메틱, Pos system, 그리고 각종 미용 잡화, 쥬얼리, 케미컬, 선글라스, 의류, 신발, 건강 용품 등 다양한 제품을 갖고 참가한다. 주최측은 현재 8만여 평방피트 크기의 쇼장에 428개 전시대(Booths)가 설치될 것으로 예상된다고 말했다.
또한 이번 쇼는 한인 최대 캐미칼 제품 공급업체의 하나인 Jinny Corp.이 대표 벤더로 참여함으로서 유명 캐미칼 및 Elecrtronics 제품 제조회사들이 대거 함께 부스를 설치한다. 현재 150개 이상의 부스가 ORS, Wahl, Loc N Gel, Shinjam, Andis, FISK, Mielle, ECO Style, Ampro, Got2b, Creme of Nature, SoftSheen-CarSon 등 유명 케미컬 회사와 전자 제품 회사들로 채워질 예정이다. “지금까지의 쇼에서 볼 수 없었던 제조사들의 쇼딜과 각종 베네핏을 얻을 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것”이라고 주최측은 설명한다.
더불어 K Beauty에 대한 관심이 나날이 늘어 가는 요즘, 한국에서도 미국의 뷰티 시장을 타겟으로 여러 상품들이 출시되고 있는데, 특히 흑인 고객들을 상대로 제조된 Histemo, Acwell, J’S Derma 등을 공급하는 업체가 한국에서 직접 참가한다.
3월10일 당일 쇼 전시회를 마치고, 예년처럼 이번에도 10만불 상당의 푸짐한 경품 추첨 시간을 갖는다. 주요 상품으로 한국 왕복 항공권, 장수 옥돌 침대, 마사지 체어, 다이슨 에어랩 등이 있다.
쇼 다음 날인 3월11일(월요일)에는 Chateau Elan Golf Club 에서 소매업체 종사자들을 대상으로 FREE 친선골프를 갖는다.

주최측은 “이번 3월 10일 제16회 트레이드쇼는 ‘놓치면 후회할 쇼!’가 될 것” 이라면서 “본 협회 역사상 가장 큰 규모의 쇼, 이전 다른 쇼들과는 여러모로 차별화된 기획과 완벽한 구성으로 진행하는 쇼가 되도록 만반의 준비를 하고 있다”고 덧붙였다.

On March 10th, at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta, Jinny Corp’s participation will bring show deals from 150 chemical and electronics manufacturing companies. The pre-show on the 9th includes a 7080 concert featuring invited Korean singers, a prize draw worth $100,000, and a free golf outing on the 11th.
The 16th Georgia Beauty Trade Show, hosted by the Georgia Atlanta Beauty Association (President Kang-ha Lee), is set to take place on March 10th(Sunday, 9:00 am-6:00 pm) at the Georgia International Convention Center in Atlanta.
The event kicks off with a pre-show 7080 concert on March 9th (Saturday). The pre-show (concert) at 7:00 pm at the Atlanta Korean Association features popular singers from the 7080 era, including Onion Alliance’s Lim Chang-je, singer Kim Do-hyang from “Living Like a Fool,” singer Jang Gye-hyun from “Please Make Me Forget,” and singer Ji Eun-suk from “When Rain Falls on My Heart.” The organizers state, “Through the concert, attendees can soothe longing for their homeland, enjoy songs that evoke nostalgia, and revisit memories of the past. In addition, there will be a photo booth and fan signing event on the day of the show.
March 10th (Sunday) is the main show day. The annual spring event, organized by GABSA, attracts industry wholesalers, including major hair companies, offering a variety of products such as hair and cosmetics, POS systems, beauty accessories, jewelry, chemicals, sunglasses, clothing, shoes, and health goods. The organizers expect 428 booths to be installed in the current 80,000-squarefoot venue.
This year’s show is enhanced by the participation of Jinny Corp., one of the largest suppliers of chemical products to the Korean community. They will be the lead vendor, and various renowned chemical and electronics product manufacturers are expected to set up booths. Currently, over 150 booths are scheduled to be filled by well-known chemical companies like ORS, Wahl, Loc N Gel, Shinjam, Andis, FISK, Mielle, ECO Style, Ampro, Got2b, Creme of Nature, SoftSheen-CarSon, and others. The organizers explain that this show will provide a great opportunity to obtain show deals and various benefits from manufacturers not seen in previous shows.
Additionally, amidst the growing interest in K-Beauty, various products targeting the U.S. beauty market are being launched in Korea. Companies supplying products specifically tailored for Black customers, such as Histemo, Acwell, J’S Derma, are directly participating in the event.
After the exhibition on March 10th, as in previous years, there will be a generous prize draw worth $100,000. Key prizes include round-trip airfare to Korea, a longevity jade bed, a massage chair, and a Dyson Airwrap, among others.
On the following day, March 11th (Monday), there will be a FREE friendly golf event at the Chateau Elan Golf Club for retail industry professionals.
Important Information: Buyers traveling from a distance of over 5 hours will receive one free hotel stay on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.
The organizers emphasize, “The 16th Trade Show on March 10th will be a show you don’t want to miss! It is the largest show in the history of our association, and we are preparing for it with unique planning and a perfect arrangement that sets it apart from previous shows.”
