광주 업체, 모발/손톱 강화 화장품 제조 원료로 탁월
광주 광역시에 자리잡고 있는 (주)해파셀 (대표 기동호) 화장품 제조업체가 방사선을 이용하여 바닷속 골치거리 해파리로 부터 콜라겐을 분리하는 방법을 개발해 이를 각종 화장품, 의약품, 식품 제조의 원료로 공급하게 되었다고 한다.
콜라겐은 피부, 머리카락, 관절 건강 등에 중요한 단백질인데, 해파리로부터 추출된 콜라겐은 특히 노화방지 항산화물질이 풍부해 피부, 관절 및 뼈 건강에 도움이 되고, 모발 및 손톱 강화, 그리고 탈모 예방 등에 큰 효과가 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
동사의 기 동호(72) 대표는 “현재 한국내 시장에 탈모완화용 샴품와 헤어 트리트먼트 제품을 출시 호평을 받고 있다”면서, 콜라겐을 이용한 제품을 제조하고자 하거나 공급 받기를 원하는 해외업체들에게 OEM/ODM 방식으로 지원할 수 있다고 말했다. 특히 의약품의 경우는 콜라겐 원료를 공급할 수 있다고 덧붙였다.

Haepacell Co.,Ltd, a cosmetics manufacturer located in Gwangju,Korea has developed a method to separate collagen from troublesome jellyfish in the sea using radiation, and will supply it as a raw material for manufacturing various cosmetics, medicines, and foods.
Collagen is an important protein for skin, hair, and joint health, and the collagen extracted from jellyfish is especially rich in anti-aging antioxidants, which are said to be beneficial for skin, joint and bone health, strengthening hair and nails, and preventing hair loss.
“We are currently launching champoo and hair treatment products to relieve hair loss in the Korean market, which have been well sold,” said Ki Dong-ho (72), CEO of the company, adding that the company can provide OEM/ODM support to overseas companies that want to manufacture or source products using collagen. In particular, the company can supply collagen raw materials for pharmaceutical products, he added.
